Frequently Asked Questions
Everything teams ask us about fit, setup, day-to-day use, evidence, pricing, and data.
Fit and setup
We already use other software. Why would we need Inspected? ▼
Inspected is designed to work alongside the systems you already use. It focuses specifically on the inspection process, helping your team capture evidence properly, complete reports faster, and keep every inspection easy to find later without replacing your accounting, CRM, or operations software.
Will Inspected create more work for our team? ▼
The goal is the opposite. We handle the initial setup, asset import, branding, templates, and workflow configuration for you. Your team can start with a system that is already prepared around the way you work.
Will we have to enter the same information twice? ▼
We review your existing workflow before setup so we can see where Inspected fits. The aim is to remove duplicate work rather than create another disconnected process. We will show you what information needs to be entered and which manual steps it replaces.
Can you use our existing inspection templates? ▼
Yes. We can review your current templates and create customised inspection workflows around your requirements. You can also start with our ready-made templates where they already suit your process.
Why is there a setup fee? ▼
The setup fee covers the work required to prepare Inspected around your business, including asset imports, templates, branding, workflow configuration, and launch preparation. You are not paying simply to activate an account.
We do not have time to set up another system. What will we need to do? ▼
Very little. You show us how your current process works and what you need from your inspections. We handle the setup so your team does not have to spend days building forms or configuring the system themselves.
Using Inspected day to day
Will our staff actually use another app? ▼
Inspected is built to remove the parts of inspections that usually create the most frustration. Photos, comments, condition ratings, and signatures are captured in the right place as the inspection happens, so there is less sorting, formatting, and report rebuilding afterward.
Can Inspected work without internet access? ▼
Yes. Inspections can be completed offline when mobile data or Wi-Fi is unavailable. The information can then synchronize once the device is connected again.
Can people sign inspections on site? ▼
Yes. Digital signatures can be captured as part of the inspection process so acknowledgements stay with the inspection record instead of being stored separately.
What happens if someone refuses to sign? ▼
The completed inspection record still remains available. Your team can keep the observations and evidence already captured and follow its own process for documenting a refusal or non-participation.
Can issues found during an inspection be followed up afterward? ▼
Yes. Issues identified during inspections can be recorded and tracked so they do not simply disappear inside a completed report. Inspected is also developing a maintenance flow to make assignment, follow-up, and resolution even easier.
Evidence and records
Can Inspected help if someone questions an inspection later? ▼
Inspected cannot guarantee the outcome of a dispute, but it helps your team keep a clear, organised record of what was observed and when. Photos, comments, condition records, timestamps, and signatures stay connected to the inspection so the evidence is easier to find when questions come up later.
What happens to our inspection records if an employee leaves? ▼
Inspection records stay connected to the asset rather than living only on an employee’s phone, email account, or personal folders. This helps your business keep its inspection history even when staff change.
Can we find old inspections quickly? ▼
Yes. Inspection records stay organised around the relevant asset so your team can retrieve previous reports and supporting evidence without searching through multiple folders, inboxes, or devices.
Can Inspected compare inspections on the same asset? ▼
Previous inspection records remain attached to the asset, giving your team access to the earlier condition record when reviewing what changed. The exact comparison experience can be demonstrated during your walkthrough.
Can we keep documents in Inspected as well? ▼
Yes. Supporting documents such as certificates, access information, and other files can stay connected to the relevant asset so your team is less likely to lose important information across different systems.
Pricing
How does pricing work? ▼
Pricing is based on the number of assets you inspect rather than charging separately for every user, inspection, report, or notification. This helps keep costs more predictable as your team uses the system.
Do you charge per user or per inspection? ▼
No. Inspected is designed so teams can give access to the people who need it and complete the inspections they need without creating another fee every time the system is used.
Your data
Who owns our inspection data? ▼
Your business owns its inspection data. Inspected provides the platform used to capture and manage it. Data ownership, access, retention, and export should also be clearly covered in your customer agreement.
Can we export our data if we stop using Inspected? ▼
Yes. Data export is part of avoiding vendor lock-in. Before you commit, we can explain what information can be exported, the available formats, and how the exit process works.
